On Monday we took the bus, the number 24 to the London Eye. When we got there we went on the Eye then we went on the a river cruise up and down the Thames. When we was in the eye we saw Big Ben, the Wembley Arch and we saw people down on the ground they looked like insects. On the river cruise we saw the London Bridge we didn't just see that, we also saw Tower Bridge aswell, we saw the Wobbely Bridge the one that people walk on. After the river cruise we took a 24 bus to South End Green then we got off the bus and took a long walk until we got to Hampstead Heath. We all sat down together and ate our lunch. After that we were given an egg we had to look after it we were not allowed to put the egg down anywhere so we had to keep it in our pocket or just hold it in our hands. Then we played at least 5 challenges, the adults tried to smash our eggs. The best part of the London Eye because when you're on the London Eye you see what London is really like.

I liked the London Eye. We went inside a pod it was made of strong plastic. We saw the river Thames. The pod moved very slowly. It was fun, and it felt like we were in the sky. We were in the pod for half an hour. The weather was cold and rainy. Next we had a trip on a river boat. Lots of us sat on the top deck, it was pouring of rain,we all got wet. A lady, called a tour guide told all the passengers about some of the 35 bridges that span the river Thames. After the boat trip we walked back to the bus stop to wait for a 24 bus to take us all up to Parliment hill fields to play fun team building games, and have our packed lunch.

OUR WIDER COMMUNITY
Yesterday was Monday the 2nd July. Firstly we went on the London Eye. When we got on the London Eye it was moving. When we were on I was feeling a bit scared and everybody was sitting on the bench being scared. Then we saw the Gherkin that was a building, Big Ben and the outside. All the bridges, the houses and the people was small like toys.
Later we went straight to the boat and we went up to the top of the boat and then we sat down but unfortunately it was raining and then the lady was talking about the buildings and bridges and talking facts, information and stories about it. And then we were cold and went inside.
Then we went on the bus number 24. After we were on Hampstead Heath eating our lunch. Then we had tasks to do and we had a egg to look after too,and the adults had to break the eggs from the kids but if you had a egg at the end of the day you will get a prize, and I had the egg at the end of the day and I hope I get a prize on Friday. Then we were blind folded and we had to hold on to the ropes and then we had to walk the way back the entrances. Then we went back to school.

On Monday the year 6's went to the London Eye and on the river cruise and we went on the river Thames it was enjoyable.
Firstly we went on the London Eye, it was wonderful because we could see all the different places around London we stayed in the bubble for about half an hour, it seemed to go very quickly. We saw Big Ben, the Wembley arch and the people seemed to be little like ants and the train tracks looked like little toys it was funny to see them like that. Me and my friends had a laugh then at the end we got taken a picture but we didn't buy it.
Then after that we went to the river cruise, the weather was bad because it was rainy and horrible, but when we were on the London Eye the weather was calm and good. On the river cruise we saw the wobbly bridge, the Shakespeare globe and the traitors stairs, we saw lots of things on the river cruise that I can't even remember.
Then we went to Hampstead Heath for a team building and we had lunch before the activity begun and also we got to chill out and speak to our friends. After we ate the teachers told us what we were going to do, but first we got given an egg to look after but the adults wanted to break our eggs but i didn't let them, until one staff made me drop my egg, it wasn't fair, had to have it until the end of the day and you will get a prize at the end of the week. Then we thought that we had to go back to school but we didn't, the adults told us to cover up our eyes and we did. Then they told us to hold a rope we didn't know what was going on, then they made us walk, suddenly we felt some thing wet they were wetting us (it was raining as well). Then they told us that we could take off the blind folds and then we went.
HOME AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Wider communtity:

On Monday we went to a boat trip and to an amazing spining wheel named The London Eye. We took the bus to the London Eye. London Eye and the boat trip was fun because, we learned about old buildings like Big Ben [clock tower] that was built in 1860. On the London Eye I was shaking with fright because it was amazingly high but I felt brave and went on. When I went on it wasnt that scary but when we made it to the top it was fantastic; the view was outstanding!!! After all of the boat trip and London Eye we went to Hampstead Heath.

We had team building games. All the teams worked all together, and there was three groups and five challenges. We had to take care of our eggs that our teacher gave us. They had to try to break it! It was so fun! Some of the teachers got us in the floor and crunched our eggs! If someone still had their egg by tomorow they would win a prize. My egg got crushed because a teacher went behind me and with their finger they poked it and it got crushed!

After all of the team working games our groups had to be blindfolded with their jumper, we had to hold onto a rope and the teachers had to lead us to school. It was fun becouse we had to imagine that we were under a tunnel. Some of it we had to crouch down in the mud! Some teachers were wetting the children when we were blindfolded!

MONDAY WAS SO FUNNNNN AND ALL OF THE OTHER DAYS ARE GOING TO BE EVEN FUNNER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alina

On Monday year 6 went to the London Eye and we filmed outside our community.
When went to go there we got searched. When we went on the London Eye, when we looked down we saw our friends who were down and they looked like tiny people. But when we went on the top it was like a plane because it really far away. And then when we went down it felt like the plane was landing, and on the London Eye I hurt my neck because I was looking up to my friends.
When we got off the London Eye I thought that we were going to walk miles again till we get to the boat but we did not because it was very near. The boat had two places down and up. We went down and then we went upstairs, and the person was talking about the stuff we saw and one of the things that the lady said about the traitor stairs. They were stairs that traitors had to walk down and they went to a boat and they went to somewhere to be beheaded.
After that we went to the bus stop and we got in the bus 24 and it took us to near the Royal Free hospital, and then we walked to Hampstead Heath. And over here we did some team games and the teachers gave us some eggs(babies) some of the egg survived but the adults kept on breaking our eggs.
After the adults said to us to get our jumpers and cover our faces and they put water all over us.

AND THEN WE WENT HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bahjo

the wider community:

Hello my name is Bahjo and I go to Carlton primary school.
On Monday the second we went to the the London Eye for school journey. We went on a bus and it was fun, after we went on the bus we had a long walk, and everyone was hungry and tired, and then we saw The Houses Of Parliament and there was a guy who was holding a gun and would not let anyone in if they did not work there.
Then we went on the London Eye and it was not scary at all, but Abubaker was so scared that he could not stand up.Next we went on a boat trip, and some people sat on top and some on the bottom, the people who sat on the bottom were nice and warm and the people that sat on the top, it was like heaven, NOT because of the wet weather. We saw a lot of old buildings like Big Ben[the clock tower].After the boat trip we went to Hampstead Heath and had half an hour chill out and chat with our friends.
Then, Philippa told us that we had a egg for a baby[mad init].
we all so had to look after them which was hard because the teachers were tyring to brake them and I thought they were going nuts, but we all know they were always nuts.
soon after that we were all blindfolded and we had to hold a rope and hold the person in front of you with your left hand on their shoulder, then we had to walk, and Sharon splashed water at us from her water bottle. Finally,we went to school and our day ended.

AND IT WAS FUN I WISH WE COULD GO AGAIN!!!!

The Wider Community

On Monday for our work on the wider community we filmed our first day of our school journey. First of all we filmed on the bus, we asked the children how they were feeling and they replied in a positive way. We saw Oxford Street and loads of theatres, shops and restaurants(including pubs and cafes)

After, we walked a long walk we finally came to the London Eye. We had to wait a bit but it was worth the wait. We filmed the beautiful view, some of the beautiful views were Big Ben(also known as the clock tower),Buckingham palace and loads of train tracks that looked like toys. I felt nervous but at the same time excited. It was amazing and i would go on it, again if I ever got the chance.

Next we went on a river cruise, it was bad weather so we couldn't stay on the top of the boat. But we saw amazing bridges and buildings. For example we saw Tower Bridge, the OXO building, London Bridge and the Wobbly Bridge. The cruise took about 30-40minutes. But it was a good time to relax on the boat.

A hour later we came to Hampstead Heath. There we had our tasty lunches and played team games. One of the games was called The Nahm were we had to get to the other side of 2 ropes but we could only go through the rope or go under or go over. But the best activity was when we each got one egg and we had to look after it for the whole day. But the trick was that the teachers and assistants had to try and break our eggs. Many eggs were broken and only some were left whole. The last game was that we had to be blindfolded and we had to follow a rope but the assistants and teacher started to squirt water at us, so we got soaked.

Finally we went back to the school and went home.

MONDAY WAS FUN HOPEFULLY ALL THE OTHER DAYS WILL BE THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!

OUR WIDER COMMUNITY 2/7/07

Yesterday our group went to the London Eye to explore different things in our country. Later on we went to a boat trip on The River Thames and we viewed the Houses Of Parliament.
There was a lady who told us about The Wobbly Bridge and she told us that the
maker of the bridge went to court and he said that it wasn't his fault it was the
people who walked on it. It was very rainy and we first went to the lower deck, then an adult told us if you went to go to the upper deck you can. It would've been much better if it wasn't raining but it still was a wonderful sighting.
When we went on the London Eye I called it a capsule but my partner called it the
Little Circular Thing. When we went on it didn't stop for us it just carried on
continuously. At first my partner was scared but then I cheered him up and he gave me a sweet. When we were going to go off it a voice over said "Before you get off we are going to take a picture of you".
I was looking every where for a camera eventually I found it, unfortunately it wasn't
the camera to take pictures. One of the staff found it and I ran to get myself in.
Luckily I got in next to my best friend. I saw the picture but we didn't get to get it because the adults didn't buy it.
IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
